It's [livejournal.com profile] batyatoon's fault that now I have to write the story that leads up to this:
Epimetheus tackles his brother, and his feet go flying off the ground. Prometheus is laughing, and the sun blinds them both in the moment before they fall back. Some things are certain, even this early on, and they'll always be young and the world will go on forever.
Oh my Greeks.

Shoot. This makes three I'm juggling now.

A Query Letter That Worked by Carrie Vaughn, author of werewolf radio talk show novel Kitty and the Midnight Hour and others

What I like about this post is it showcases an actual query letter and breaks down the moving parts, explaining the rationale and why such a simple piece is all that's necessary. Not that I'm anywhere close, but this seems like good advice.

(On a side note, I've heard of the Kitty Norville books and am mightily intrigued. Has anyone read them?)
