I was really excited about arranging my new apartment so that I had a desk with a window view for writing. I was going to be all professionalesque and delegate my space and sit somewhere that is a proper height for long hours of typing, reading and goofing off. I've even tried this several times already, and let me tell you, my posture is great, my focus is contained, etcetera etcetera... so has anything come of this?

No. No, apparently curled up on the couch at bizarre angles is where writing happens. That's all. End of story. No negotiations.

Oh well. It makes for a lovely breakfast table.
Mood:: 'amused' amused

This was me, with my art. I have a lovely little area set up by the window, but I work best stretched out on the sofa. Go fig.

It's a little like with pets, you know? You can buy them a fancy padded bed, and they're only interested in the cardboard box with old blankets in it. (Not the most amazing metaphor, but yeah, funny how we get set in our ways. It's all about positive reinforcement!)
