Having no home internet to distract me from writing is probably good in a sense, but it's also a drag. There goes my perfect posting record, alas.

So I've been thinking some about how I'll be using this space. One thing I've always enjoyed about Neil Gaiman's blog is watching him talk about developing projects; once the book or movie or whatever he's working on is available, it's so neat to think about that progression being documented. So, given that I've got one particular novel I'm hoping to begin in earnest shortly, that will probably be the focus for a while. [livejournal.com profile] ursulav is fun to watch for that kind of stuff too. It's a good plan (note that I make it so conditional) to make even frustration with writer's block into an exercise.

Not for about two weeks, though: all sorts of stuff is going on, including a move, a wedding (my cousin's) and a new job, to commence shortly, and I think I'll be lucky to a few hours to myself. (And you know, the normal shorthand for this would be that "real life is getting in the way," but I've never considered writing not "real life," which means I need some different terminology to talk about that time. Any suggestions?)
