nightbird: Mucha illustration, young peasant holding scythe and grain (they didn't know what else to do.)
I have one actual publishing credit to my name: once upon a time, [livejournal.com profile] ajodasso guest-edited an edition of Behind the Wainscot with the theme of windows, and I gave her what I like to think of as pseudo-Italian absurdism with "Shadow Box." It was going to be in a "best of 2007" anthology which even had some names in there that I recognized -- Catherynne M. Valente and Ekaterina Sedia are the ones I remember. Sadly, the anthology never happened, but I was terribly excited about it, and the point of this all is that I need to get on getting that feeling back again.

Thank you all for the prompts! I will get on those this weekend.
