It's so true! I keep thinking of this line from this gorgeous Kris Delmhorst song, "Come Home": the only thing you'll have to hold / is the love you've loved and the truth you've told. And the shades from the Odyssey, stuck exactly as they were in the moment of death for all eternity. Ghost stories are just -- so simple and so interesting. I remember a note I took in college, about... memorials, I want to say, or maybe a play -- that part of the draw was related to the terror that nothing ever actually ends.

It's after 1 AM on a work night, so I should be asleep, but -- hey, witching hour, right? ...yeah, I'm done now.
